Bikes N Buildings

A new addition to the blog: my bicycle amidst the glorious buildings of our nation's capital.

Here we see The Wheels of Steel atop the steps of The Royal Exchange in the heart of the city. Founded in 1565 by Thomas Gresham, the building was designed to act as a centre of commerce for London's merchants. Word on the street is that throughout the 17th century stockbrokers weren't allowed in 'on account of their rude manners'. Hence they had to operate from other establishments in the vicinity like local coffee houses. Proper Rudeyz

Just look at the impeccable symmetry, the lines, the angles. The rims, the gear ratio. Indeed The Wheels of Steel does more than take the breath away. What a machine.
